Hunting with handguns was illegal even before they banned our handguns, I did however scare a few Squirrels with my DA .22 and did take a fox with one shot DRT. After our modern guns were no more I carried on with cap n ball and a flintlock, small game only.

This miniature oil lamp is my favourite, it was my mother's, it doesn't give off a lot of light but I like it.

My series one Land Rovers had transmission inspection covers just behind the stick, useful for passengers but way too tricky for the driver unless stopped... :lol: MG_30851.jpg Click to enlarge image. Back in the sixties we had a few race riots in the UK, I was working for Westley Richards at the time and Sikhs came in buying shotguns, claiming to be visitors to the UK and thus not requiring any form of gun license. They didn't seem to want gun control then......

Nice acquisition on the Parker and the Colt . :mrgreen: I heard that Humphrey Bogart liked the 1903 as the 1911 looked too big against his smaller frame in the movies. Went up to the lot today. Have a pile of work to do up there. We have a clearing down by the stream I want to expand and seed down with clover. Gonna plant some apple trees too. Started working down there. Got some downed trees cut up and brush sawed a fair amount. Expanded the little clearing quit...

A 20 gauge or 28 gauge with 25" barrels would get my interest for hunting, not sure I'd rely on one for defense but I suppose if that's all it was used for wear and tear wouldn't come into it.
