Looks like fun.

A hunting buddy uses similar Browning in 30-06 and had killed a bunch with it. He even used it on our plains game trip to RSA and did very well- never needed a second shot.

Re: Scouting is dead to me

I liked the idea of being a Boy Scout and so signed up to be a Cub Scout; that lasted less than one year. Why? Because I learned that I already knew more about fishing, camping, hunting , etc than did the scouts, so the scout program was a waste of time. My Dad was an avid fisherman , so the whole f...

Same for service stations, auto garages, grocery stores , and all outdoor work and construction businesses.

WRT .38 ammo in .357 rifle:

My M1892 .357 with 20 inch Douglas barrel will not stabilize any .38 ammo other than loads with velocity equal to .357 ammo.

You will need to see what weight and velocity ammo your .357 rifle likes and does not like.

Have fun!

Agreed on Houston. IBM offered me a job in Houston when I graduated UT; good pay with a good company in a humid city that I did not like.
