The one for Me that "got away" about ten years ago was a Savage model 24 . Like new in the box .357 mag over 20 ga. It would have been the perfect deer/plinker here in Ohio. It is the only one I ever saw, I blinked and it was gone. Durn. :( . snagged one of those at a gun show 10-15 years...

beautiful ! terrific find ! always wanted one in 22 an also one in 50 CF but never found either one at a reasonable price

i did get a slender little uberti rolling block replica in 38/357 that finally satisfied the craving to a small degree.

i was thinking of having mine converted to center fire but the bore diameter is .251 [similar to 25 acp ] not 256 like the 25/20

was getting more complicated than i was willing to pursue

bought one of those years ago when it was cheap..it was new in the box and remained that way, for years ,.. then my son claimed it and we sighted it in and he has it now. it is a beautiful rifle and a terrific shooter. i am so glad he likes it and will keep it. i had a DPMS 308 and liked it pretty well, but have since replaced it. Patriot Ordinance Factory [ POF ] makes a lightweight very accurate 308 that is about the same size as an AR in 223. it is very expensive ....but i won one, the grand prize, at fund raiser in anchorage. i was getting ready to lea...

shoot it !! i have two of the short barrel new frontiers, two of the longer barrel, and one of the 7 1/2 "...i shoot them all and all of them outshoot any ruger single six that i have had. and they sure are right pretty too.
