Re: Concealed Carry by State in the U.S.

Are these stats for resident only permits, or include non-resident as well? Here on the East coast it is very common for people to have a resident permit in their state, and a non-resident from FLA, which has the largest reciprocity in this area. That might account for the large number (1.7M) for FLA.

Hobie! It has been a long time! Good to see you here again. As a fellow Virginian I am appalled and concerned about the attitude in VA now. Just like Colorado, where the libs from CA moved into Denver and took over the state, the same is happening in northern VA, even in my Loudoun county. What I do...

I don't have much to add to what others have said. But one tip...when I did give up beer a few times (say for Lent), I found that one of the toughest things was the "habit" of reaching for the glass/bottle. Typically, I'd be sitting there watching a ball game and just reach over every few minutes to...

Re: Concealed carry --- again

I love my Kahr PM-9 with 147gr HST ammo (it also shoots +P). Very accurate and best DA trigger out there for small 9's. The Sig 938 has similar MoA as a 1911, which is cool, but I don't like having a safety on a gun I may carry in my pocket. The Kahr, with its polygonal rifling and adjustable night ...

Re: OT Is a covered holster concealed carry?

In Virginia, the law states, "A weapon shall be deemed to be hidden from common observation when it is observable but is of such deceptive appearance as to disguise the weapon's true nature." However, open carry is legal in VA, so it doesn't matter if it is in a covered holster. Check your state laws.

I love the way the Kahr P380m shoots, and IMHO, it has better fit/function than the Kel-Tec, and less felt recoil than the Seecamp.32 and Kel-Tec .380. I believe they have a CM version out now as well for about $300.
