The photo makes it quite clear. It is, in fact, a Vernier scale, dividing the 5 degree segments of the main scale into single degrees.

I have never owned or shot a Dardick.
I do have one of the trounds in my cartridge collection and I remember when Numrich Arms was selling off the last of the factory guns, during my Teens.Nobody wanted them and they remained for sale for a long time.

I use Unique in most of my 45 Colt loads. I don't need to "magnumize" the 45, even though they are shot in Ruger New Vaquero, Blackhawk, Bisley, and Redhawk revolvers.
I have a Super Redhawk in ,454 and a half dozen .44 mags if I feel the need for speed :D .

I've bought a fair bit of parts from both Delta Team Tactical and Joe Bob Outfitters over the recent couple of years. Any problems were handled to my satisfaction.
BTW, A2 stocks are a little scarce, sometimes.

Very good news, indeeed ! i shot Contenders in NRA Hunter's Pistol back in the day. I will buy another, just because, when I can. I still have 3 of my original 4 frames and a dozen barrels in various calibers. I just hope that the new ones will be compatible with the originals. :D :D :D :D :D :D

I have had a bunch of .22 rifles over the past 50 years.
My favorite has become a CZ 452FS.
It beats all for combined workmanship, appearance, and accuracy.
I never imagined that a full-stocked rifle would shoot 3/8" groups at 50 yards.

Since I retired a year ago, I get to the gun club about four times per week. The range is about 10 minutes away from home so I go sometimes when I might only stay a half hour.
There are about a half dozen of us who meet often after lunch to shoot, or sometimes just to shoot the bull.

A 7.62 NATO AR10 and a 5" barreled .357 Rem. Mag Ruger GP100 would certainly simplify things.

I've seen their people out test firing a new line of single shot shotguns made in China. They are unremarkable copies of the old H&R break actions, said to be introduced for a bit more than $100. Unless the Chinese are prepared to offer a clone of the '99 for short money, we're not likely to see...

The Bushnell TRS-25 red dot is quite compact (in both size and price.)

BTW, Lyman offered full length sizing dies for many calibers.
They were used by pressing the case in with a bench vise and then pushing the case out of the die with a punch.
I have one in the box, like new, for 30 Govt. (30-40 Krag).

I had shot some back in the day ( 1960-something) . They were commercial/experimental loads. Perhaps Winchester... I think that they were 45 ACP. more interesting than useful. I can't think of why I might have wanted to hit something 3 times simultaneously with flyweight bullets spread out over 8 or...

I've got two Bearcats that I've not fired in recent memory.
One is steel framed and the other alloy.
They both have terrible sights, rough chambers, poor triggers, and indifferent accuracy.
When I grab something to go plinking, it is usually the single six hunter or the 22/45 lite.

I wonder if the type of sizing lube could cause a problem?
I would try Imperial sizing die lube which is a sort of wax that you rub on with your finger.

When the Mass State Police bought 45 ACP pistols a few years ago, they issued Winclean ammo for range use only. There was some talk about it being unreliable for duty use.
The word on the street blamed the primers.

The Ruger Buckeye is not a conversion.
It came out of the factory that way.
I have one. I used to collect curiosities.
They also made one in 32-20 / .32 H&R.

There used to be someone else offering an aperture that fastened to eyeglasses.
It may have been Lyman.
The Merit is undoubtedly better quality.
