Re: Thought to share on trauma medicine

IIRC in some of the news coverage of the recent Ca. shooting they were talking about trauma kits that they used on the scene. Some of the kits used were used to pack gauze into woulds and the contents were exhausted, they had to go look for more kits which took time.It sounded like the kits were kep...

There's an air museum near me called the Fantasy of Flight. The owner, Kermit Weeks has his own Youtube channel where deals with visits to other museums as well. At one of them the guy giving Kermit the tour told him how they had placed the tanks along the walkways so kids could have somewhat of a h...

Thank you for posting the name of the company. A Google search revealed warnings about them on both the S&W forum and Ruger forum. Both complained about the same thing you did. I quit looking after I found those two examples.

Rusty, same deal here in New Mexico -- removing all hurdles to hemp production. I just hope we can get some real science to evaluate just what these various CBDs actually do from a medical standpoint. If regulated as drugs rather than food supplements, maybe we will get some clarity. Believe me, I ...

It must be an up and coming trend. Here in Florida the state Dept. of Agriculture is running on overdrive to make the way clear for people to be able to grow hemp as a commercial crop. There have been news stories on TV the last 3 days about it. It seems right now demand far exceeds supply.

Someone once compared the AK to the AR saying that the AR is a rifleman's rifle. Meaning a rifleman that will take care of his rifle and keep it clean and well oiled. The AK/ SKS rifles will not generally be as accurate but the will still run even if neglected.

Yeah, I always wondered what would happen if you took a huge barrel like a foot in diameter and chambered it for something like a 50 BMG necked down to 22 caliber. Obviously you would get some pressures in the six-figure range, but I'm betting the velocities would be incredible. You probably have t...

Our Dept. armorer showed me how to load 148 gr HBWC backwards in about 1976. I used them in my snub BUG but stayed with Remington 158 gr JSP in my duty gun as long as I carried the .357.
