Very nice set up. The only way to break one of those from what I've seen is field stripping it wrong. It's as bullet proof as a gun can get.

In regards to a properly seated primer I'll say that I've been reloading since 1973 and I have never put brass thru a tumbler or any kind of cleaner. I do however always run a small screwdriver around in the primer pocket to make sure there's no carbon in it so the primer will seat properly.

That is the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. It reminds me of when I was a kid, I'd look at my uncle's Herter's catalogs. They used to have stuff like that in there in living color. All I could do was dream.

I was off last week so I misseda week of Guntalk with Tom Gresham. On 3/24's show he had the 3rd generation Weatherby , IIRC his name is Adam. He would be the grandson of Roy.

I carry loose rounds in my watch pocket or outside pocket if I'm wearing cargo shorts. I have two packs of speed strips but haven't used them enough to stop feeling awkward with them.

For those that are having problems with carpenter bees you might try spraying your wood with a boric acid solution. Thet will die shortly after ingesting treated wood.

I believe the Mo-Skeet game was intended to be played with a Remington 572 pump. The 572 has a screw on the left side of the receiver that locked the barrel into place. To change from the rifled barrel to the smooth bore barrel you just loosened the screw and pulled the barrel out.

FWIW SAAMI specs are different for .44 Mag handguns and .44 Mag rifles. Handguns are .429 while rifles are .431. I would imagine that same would be true for other .44 offerings as well.

If it were me, my first step would be to call Brownells and ask to speak with one of their gunsmiths that has experience with Remington 510s. They are great people and are eager to help you.
