Re: Need 336CB help/info
The RCBS Cowboy dies come with two expander balls or Spuds. .376" & .379" The dies are optimized for lead loading. Well worth the extra dollars, over other dies. Starline brass has a thinner case mouth than Winchester. I tried Winchester with my Handi- 38-55 Rifle, as the bore slugs .3...

Buffalo Arms has them.
I have one on my 92/44 that has a marble Tang sight.
I have the folding leaf set dead on at 50 yards, and the tang sight adjusted for 100 yards.
The folding leaf has both windage and elevation adjustments for fine tuning. They make the sight With or W/O adjustments.

Lotsa questions remain, but as a start, take a .435 or .440 dia lead ball and push it thru your bore using a wood dowel. Measure across the high parts, and use a bullet .001-.002" larger. Keep your loads to under 1400fps or use a gas-check. PS: Use only plain base bullets, bevel bases are easi...

Do not give up on the bore. I brought back, a sewer-pipe 1894 Springfield Krag, made in 1895. It took a lot of soaking and brushing with a 50-50 mixture of Hoppe's & Kroil. Lots of blue/green krud for several days, then dark grey, then several more days of just grey. At this point I changed to a...

Also some were chambered in 38 WCF, (38-40).
