Check to see if your Inland is a "handstamp". late production carbines were produced in two types.. either M1 or M2 (full auto). The designation was added after they were finished... the letter 1 or 2 handstamped in line with the M.. always a little off, out of line.. Mine is a handstamp.....

Get a 22 rifle of the same type action, lever, bolt, etc.. and reduce your range accordingly.. 30 to 40 yds.. I, too, had trouble with a tight chambered BLR in 308. Small base dies did help some, but didn't eliminate all the problems.. mine was an early one, made in Belgium.. I finaly sold it to a guy that wanted to use only factory ammo.. he was happy and so was I... Les

I have been loading the 200 gr Hornady FTX in the 358 win.. , with great results on whitetail deer.. should have a better bc than the round nose bullets.. don't have my data with me, but try it out... hth...Les

Don't diss your 358 .. I use 200 gr Hornady FTX bullets in a handload, sighted in 3.5 inches high at 125yds they print 8" low at 300. that is fine long range trajectory for a lever gun.. mine is a Jap BLR steel frame.. What model 358 do you have? PM me for the load specifics.. Les

Elk season is getting along, could use some meat.. open for bulls or cows, starting to snow today.. got the day off.. the rifle is feeling neglected.. all sighted in with 200 gr FTX Hornadys.. should be some elk moveing down into the open cottonwood timber above Soda Lake...
