Remington and Winchester are two of several makers of 30/30 ammo. Same ammo, different makers name on the box. You will find the same thing for almost all ammo, more than one maker of the same caliber.

When I asked the question I had no idea that so many were interested. I know I have gotten some great ideas and the pictures are amazing. Sometimes the hardest part is the first step, making a so-so gun look old. Most of us are trying to go the other way. Thanks everyone, keep the info coming.

I like to double wrap using butcher paper. Lately I have been single wrapping and then using one of those machines that suck all the air out and seals it. Works really well. I have no idea how long it will last, but my stuff never seems to have any ill effects from being frozen.
