There was a lot of experimental archaeology done in the 90's using the same tipping technique for erecting obelisks. Also, around Stonehenge (and other henges) archaeologists were finding a ton of rocks carved round to the size of a baseball. Nobody had any good ideas what they could have been used ...

For when I am working my favorite woods gun is my Smith Model 58 although recently the Flattop 45 Ruger has been seeing a lot more time on my hip. If I'm just out being a bum in the woods (one of my favorite activities) it's any revolver I'm in the mood for and my Model 94 carbine in 25-35.

Re: leading with Oregon Trails bullets
My problems with commercial cast bullets, regardless of make, is mid-level loads. For SASS level loads they work fine (but I don't have a use for ammo that light) or for heavy loads they seem to work okay. I think that it is a lube problem. The lube is quite hard and I don't think it flows at low or...

I just voted for the 45-70 as that is the levergun cartridge I shoot the most aside from 38-40 (which I know would never have enough votes to get anywhere) but besides the 348WCF I would buy brass for any of the calibers listed. Here's hoping something comes of this!

I subscribe to the Mr. Kieth school of thought on handguns. If I'm vertical I got a revolver on my hip (or on rare in-town circumstances, in pocket).
