Re: Nickel plated cases question
Just a hint to those who use -- or would, but can't find -- products like the Imperial wax. Plain ol' Johnson's Paste Wax, found in supermarkets everywhere, works just as well, costs a bunch less, and one can is virtually a lifetime supply. No knock against Imperial, but as a dyed-in-the-wool cheap...

We've been dogless since our Samoyed Monty died a couple of years ago as we've been running around taking care of our old folks. Since that has reached it's inevitable conclusion we got on a list for a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon pup, should be due around Christmas. Tried to post a picture of Monty ...

Re: Who's shooting a Bearcat these days?
I had an old aluminum frame model as my first trapline pistol. It was a handy devil and mechanically accurate. 1-1/4" groups at 25 yards with ammo it liked (early Stingers?) off a sandbag. Problem was I couldn't shoot it that well without a rest; my hands are just shy of 5" across the knuc...

On my MP mold once you get the pins hot bullets fall out by gravity or at most a gentle tap. Erik at Hollowpoont Mold will convert molds to the same Cramer style hollowpoint pin that Miha uses or his own "inset bar" style which looks like a winner. He also does the Lyman style. Erik does e...

I have one of his molds. Piece of art. It's a three cavity with flat point and two hollow point pins. All drop bullets well when up to temp. This style beats the old lyman hollow point molds by a mile. Way faster casting and therefore easy to keep temps where they need to be foe good hollowpoints. E...

Neat gun. How much does it weigh? I've really enjoyed the 20 ga Savage 24s that I've shot but the 12 gauge version is a bit clunky for my idea of a do everything farm gun. Of course yours is far more mission specific and sure beats hauling 2 guns! A 25/35 and 12 or 20 gauge combo gun that weighed ab...

I have a an old Belgian A-5 16 gauge with the garand style safety. Its far and away the finest shotgun I own, whenever I go upland hunting with my cousin it's the gun I grab. No issues with safety, I prefer it to the side to side moving version.

A question, what does the ATF do in situations like this? The loss of the paperwork must really get their undies in a bunch and I'd imagine they would be all over you.

Can't help you any but my first centerfire rifle was a martini cadet "rechambered" to 32-20. Fired cases didn't look a whole lot like a 32-20 but the brass worked and you could reload for it with a Lyman 310 tool which only neck sized. My only bullet was a 3118 my Grandad had on hand and a...
