Nice article. I'm using 400 grain A-frames in my 450 Alaskan over a big pan of 3031. Unless I'm plinking, then I'm using the 350 grain HotCore over even more 3031.

Same down here. Almost everything would be inside of 50 yards unless you're at a spot where power lines have been cut through and you can spot a deer crossing between. Lots of hogs to shoot though.

Power came back for me late on Friday evening. I had one large pine tree branch fall into the fire pit which my chainsaw will dismember so I can burn it in place. Otherwise, just fine. The lake is up about 3 feet though.

In 22 Mag, I like the HK-300. I bought several 20 round mags long ago and several spare extractors and a spare buffer. Should shoot just about forever.

I'm wondering if something like that can be simulated/estimated in QuickLoad by someone on the forum. I'm also wondering if 300MP might not be the ideal powder for that case and capacity ... though many of the newer Alliant powders are not characterized for QuickLoad. I believe it's an Alliant issue...

I didn't realize the Marlin requires such a shortened version of the AK. I was thinking the round on the left was closer to my 2.75" that my 71 eats.
