Re: OT: Hamer article; which rifle used to kill Barrow/Parker?

Interesting read! I don't know much about the guns. I was at a car show when I was a kid (mid 80's) I think in N.C. on vacation and the "death car" was there. I do remember it being shot up bad and you could still make out faded blood stains on the seats. Whatever was used put alot of hol...

Re: Rossi .410 lever

Well its a neat gun. As far as killin deer with a .410 we all went to em' where we hunt. If its under 75 yd shot they drop in their tracks.... most of our shots are less than 50yds even 20yds is long shot. I use my sons youth Rossi single shot and 3" shells. We hunt an old apple orchard thats g...

Re: Playing with fire

As I understand it the original ".357 Magnum" pressures were higher than current SAAMI specs. Interesting that the guns they were shot in were not particularly 'robust' by modern standards... :? Learn somthing new everyday....... "original ".357 Magnum" pressures were highe...

Re: New to the board

Thanks for the welcome mat fellas! Being that it is made of pot metal  can it be plated? I know its just a shooter and its good at that. But, I still have this thing about taking pretty guns into the woods. We can't deer hunt here in Ohio with rifles but the ferral hog population is growing a...
