Winchester m-88's are known for heavy trigger pulls, and a gunsmith that can successfully lighten one are few & far between.

Since the trigger travels with the lever, a trigger shoe will give the feel of a lighter pull....

I've never experienced a loose cartridge guide in a Winchester 94, since I bought my first over 50 years ago.

If I was going to hang it, I'd leave it alone.

If I was going to use it, I'd buy a new guide & screw to keep in reserve.

The arrow rest, believe it or not, was a feather (turkey ?) glued to the riser.

It was pretty accurate, shooting across my dooryard (30yds).

Unfortunately, I had to give up bow hunting (well before crossbows were allowed here) due to having an operation that left my delts unable to draw a bow.

The throat can be easily "fixed" with a few manual turns of a throating reamer - then you can shoot whatever floats your boat. :)

Now that I fled Ca to Wyoming, I pay resident prices! My 1st non-res elk tag in 1991 was $254; last year...$707 for a elk ! I just drew a cow/calf tag, an antelope tag, and can get a general elk tag (any elk) over the counter all for less than $150 ! Life is good. I'd say that that was a good move....

You have found out that there are "Scout" scopes, and then there are "Scout" scopes - that's how I found out which one was best for me (buying/trying, etc).
