This is probably right. Still, .25 Remington is easy to make. Cartridge is great with 100-grain bullets. You can start and stop your powder search with IMR 4320.

I'll be just as happy with the 20" barrel. I am not concerned about the barrel length. I have a 20" Marlin and a 24" TC in .32 H&R Magnum. The .32's are good for called varmints and raccoons in the pecan trees.

My Winchester Timber Carbine has a 1 in 12" twist. There two twist rates. Some early rifles were reported with slow twists.

Sell had a son if I remember correctly.
I agree this "mild Improvement" is the best of the Improved .25-35's. There were at least three Improved versions of the .25-35 pre-WII.

Sad to say, numerous High Pressure loads in an old rifle will give you headspace issues. You need to keep the era your rifle was made in mind.
