I've said it before- ask the manufacturer what their product is rated for. Someone's data could very well be dangerous in YOUR gun. Well, the barrel says "black powder only" so I'm a slight bit over manufacturer recommendations. I knew this going in. that answers all the questions, yeah?

Scott, this is what I do to firelap my revolvers so they don't lead the barrel with cast bullets. outstanding job on research, that's interesting stuff. way better record-keeping than I do. only cases I ever had split were the ones that fell into salt water in the bottom of the skiff. even when well rinsed they split, so I tossed them overboard after they got 'salted'.

The other bullet that I load is the Hornady .454 diameter swaged 255 gr Cowboy bullet. It doesn’t look like much but I can push it with 8 gr of Unique (certainly not a weak cowboy action load) and it shoots cleanly and accurately in sixguns and leverguns. The math was right. There was a slight Operator Error in that the results were switched ... .355" diameter has a total area of 0.09898 square inches .452" diameter has a total area of 0.412825 square inches Seems I need to hire a someone to double-check my work. Um, the brass fetchers?
