I'd find a private spot and toss it into a bonfire. I've disposed of 22 to 30-30 that way with no drama. hot coals with flaming wood on top seems about right . . .

this is good because when they eat you they sit on you and eat your guts, as if you were a salmon. your screams will be heard for miles. this is from actual killer bear "incidents". in Alaska, bear attacks are poo-pooed by ADF&G because they don't want to discourage MREs, er, tourists from augmentin...

Re: Another Barrel-length vs. velocity article

thanks for posting this.

for 45/70 I give up 100 fps in my guide gun for a 405gr load. I'll take that. Their shortest barrel is still way faster than the 405 44s out of my redhawk.

those loads are a interesting. I have a 425 gr load going faster than their 405, and the 325 load seems slow to me.

NOT hollowpoint. Please. 180g hard cast but even that's light for a stopper IMO. Hard cast in the 9 but it's another compromise. I think a 44 or 45 with 405g, or anything with 405 and up makes the most sense. They do plenty of damage subsonic. to see from my POV work out the TKO figures for the load...

I use H322 in my loads, which are famously moderate. What I think I recall but might me wrong again, is that H322 produces the velocity the bullets like at lower pressure than other powders. As I said, this might be real, so it's worth checking out just for the record. For the record, all my reloadi...
