My dad's father (my Granddad)went out for a loaf of bread and never came back for 25 years! I met a guy with one of those CZ carbines and he said it was very accurate. Nice size and appearance. I covet that gun, but it doesn't come in lefty. I think you could compare that cartridge to .308 more closely than 30-30. Same case, spire point, and more capacity. I believe I read the .308 has mo...

pull the pump and use a well pull and rope. Biggest drawback is the jet usually has
a small pumphouse.

Thanks AJMD429 yes the barell and mag tube have a half moon slot where the screw goes into the barrell band.
But the mag cap screw should go all the way through and contact the dimple in the barell.
Since mine does not ,should i be concerned (or will the barrell band screw be enough)?

I have read that it could under heavy recoil, don't know why anyone would shorten it but it is.

I love my Krag! It's one of the most accurate and pleasant shooting rifles I own. Much is made about the pressures generated by these loads, the long disproved legend that the .45 Colt case was weak, and the big chambers. I don't find those things to be a problem at all. The one thing I do acknowledge is that with heavy loads approaching 30K CUP, brass life will be shorter, and ...
