I think you're right. I saw NKJ's safety replacement peep, and that looks a like a "kill two birds" solution!!! Besides, I want to be able to carry it in my saddle scabbard, and that bullseye peep deal looks like it would "drag" something fierce going in/coming out of the scabbar...

Minwax's Oil Finish is pretty good too. Just stripped that AWFUL Factory "finish" off my Model 94 (Mid 70's) and did it in natural Oil... had some nice Walnut on it!! Hate the laquerpolywhothewhat they use on guns now! JUNK!

1 would be that "unknown" rider in the beginning of "Quigley"..... Kicks horse into a gallup, hangs off the side of the horse, picks up a bucket on the ground, then jumps a gate and a hauls off up the road... JW sat a horse pretty good, Selleck can ride... Duvall is an EXCELLENT ...

BADLY dubbed in sound effects!!! Watch "The Sons of Katie Elder".. a John Wayne film. During The Shootout at the river bridge.. the dubbed gunfire is TERRIBLE!!! You see the bad guys fire and 6 smoke puffs, and 3 shots etc..shots sound 3 secs after their fired, all at a distance of maybe 2...

Well, we sold a saddle the other day!!! The guy "made us an offer we couldn't refuse"!!! Just Bought a nice old Semi highback western saddle, no name on it we could find, but it was a good one nonetheless. Used it on a horse we have here but belongs to a "cowboy friend" of ours.....

How many here, if any, carry a SAA style gun as opposed to the auto's everyone seems to want to carry??? I have a 9mm carrygun, but there are times I wonder.... I naturally shoot a SSA (mines a Uberti) better than the auto.... don't seem to have to "focus" as much to "drop em in there...

I usually used a .308 Bolt action Mauser with scope for deer hunting.. but sold it and decided to go all out with a Winchester 94 in 30-30 I picked up for 150 bucks a few years back. Always have been a "levernut".... but just couldn't stand the thought of putting a scope on a lever action....

In the soundtrack he caps off twelve rounds! However, in reality, the last two were "dubbed in" to fill the time/action sequence for continuity's sake..... so the scene "sounded right" with the action, and so the show's intro timed out perfectly.
