Re: OT log cabin

I gave up showing folks our log cabins after we saw Richard Proenneke's work in the PBS show "One Man's Wilderness", the book didn't do the cabin building justice.

oughta hold up a TV station if that's what it takes to see it, it's that good.

I don't have miles of guns as some do on here, but my Favorite is my Winchester 9422. Re: COST OF 22 RIMFIRE

I have never bought a thing in a walmart other than having two tires changed on my camper while travelling, they were the only ones open on a friday night at 6pm with two blowouts on I-80 Iowa/Ill border. however, I buy my 22 ammo 10 bricks at a time and when I walked in yesterday to my local gunsho...

Model 88 problem

A friend contacted me from several states away and said he bought a 1966 99% Model 88 in 308, when ejecting the empty it flips around facing backwards and end up back in the ejection port. unfired rounds eject fine. I suggested 1. the empty is hitting something and falling back in, this was an issue...

Re: Went to the Texas Ranger Museum Today, displays gone!

A fella contacted me to see if I "had a good home for some guns", he had two 25-35s that had homemade old ranger badges inset in the stocks, I said sure did and had them hanging on the wall for 15 years plus. fella passed away and I hunted down his relation, half cousing thrice removed has...

we just watched part of it to show some friends from maine the terrain. there wasn't anything language or sexual that would shock a 9 year old but the blood and gore is pretty bad but with a DARK shot movie even i wasnt too sure what i was seeing at times. overall might be a little nightmare-y for h...

218 bee marlin

well, sold it..

hated to do it but I did...

it was hard to reload for though, same as its parent case, and 25-20... had to graphite the necks or silicone every one of them.

had good times back east with it though..
