All the states I've ever read livestock law on allowed you to kill any animal that was harassing livestock, with the exception of birds of prey, grizzlies, mountain lions, and those #$%^ing wolves!

Some shooters simply have trouble relating the sights to the target beyond close distances; generally, this has to do with a vision problem.

BTW, dead chest type freezers are good for storing about a ton of horse feed. They'll keep mice out, but bears are another story.

I was really underwhelmed with trailboss loads from my .30-30. Right now, I'm using 16.5 gr. of 2400 under 160-170 gr. bullets in both .30-30 and .30-06. Zero needs to be raised about 7" higher at 100 yards with the .30-06, but very little recoil. Negligible at best. Hearing protection is still...

Alan, after you get tired of trying to find Acu-glass, search for ACRA-glass. That's the correct name; I forget which acra-glass formula you need for this application.

It's still about as good as the Stack-on, a heck of a lot cheaper, and if you have people over, they don't tell others about your having two freezers in the basement. This may not be true of non-gun folks that see even one safe in your basement.

Two or three of those idiotic alarms you're supposed to hang on motel room doors would be a nice touch; if the safe even gets jostled, they'll go off, and just ONE is loud as hell; three will not go unnoticed, going down the road!

To me, it sounds like he needs to WD-40 the stuff out of it, then lay upsode down overnight; that's the easiest way to clean 'em thoroughly.
