Re: 45 ACP SIXGUN

Wth Adirondack Jack's Cowboy 45 Special cartridge, I can stuff the performance and size of the 45ACP in my 45 Colt cylinder. Yeah, it has a bit of bullet jump to the forcing cone, but at handgun distances, I haven't noticed any decrease in accuracy. A big plus is the ability to download the powder c...

IME, there is a definite point at which bearing surface is reduced due to less bullet weight that impacts flight stability. Lighter bullets in my 45 Colt rifles have been prone to tumbling. All of the above demonstrate why I don't shoot over, under or out of my car/truck... Not because I'm all that bright... just cognizant that Murphy was an optimist! Although as part of our firearms training we had to demonstrate that we could do so from a squad car... shotgun & handguns.

My first revolver as a deputy was a mdl 10. I then got the loan of a nickel mdl 19 and carried it for a number of years until the owner wanted it back... didn't need it until she got a new job and needed a .357 revolver. I replaced it with a new mdl 65 about 1986 and carried it with two departments....
