Between you, me and the fence post... the Lee Factory Crimp die is a totally useless piece of kit. If you properly set your dies, have consistent length brass and seat the bullet so the roll crimp is right in the crimp groove, you'll never set back a bullet into the case. At least in the 99.9999999%...

I use my 150 gr GCFN for reduced loads in .30-06 for both my Garand and 1903-A3. Since these are made of 6 parts WW and one part Linotype, are gaschecked and measure about 18 Bhn, they could run at least as fast as my .30-30 loads could run... but why? For distances up to a 100 yards the Garand load...

Anything Pyrodex will not touch my guns... took me three days of cleaning to finally stop the flash rush from appearing. I'd scrub, dry, apply a coating of oil, thinking, "done"... look at the gun the next day and see a coating of flash rust down the bore and in the chambers... cleaned and repeated....

Starline is showing .38-40 as "backordered". Earlier this year they showed 45 Colt the same way, yet allowed orders. My brass arrived about a week later! If you have a contact in the US maybe you can work something out.
