Oh My! I got it to the range and it no longer puts a dent in the primer.... Looks like maybe a broken firing pin. I have to find the take down instructions and most likely, a source for a new firing pin. Anybody know who carries parts for the Rossi 1892? Jack Steve's Gunz carries some Rossi parts. ...

In September of 1973 I had 4 BARs, 4 Thompson's and 8 M-1 Garands in the back of my little Chevy Vega. Well above the pay level for an E-5 sailor! I was sad to seem them go.

I have never had a standard trans go out on me. Had many over the years and still have two : 90 Chevy 4:4 and early 70's john Deere 4430. :D Neither have I... clutches are a different story tho'! :lol: My son had the 5-spd in my Camaro give up the ghost on him one day... 4th gear syncro ate itself ...

Over the years I think I've won about a dozen guns... Two on board ship in the Navy... After the 2nd, they wouldn't let me buy my tickets in the Wardroom... :twisted: It IS a great feeling. And that feeling remains with you! Congrats... I hear they're great guns.

I don't believe that leg (upper as shown in your pic) should be bent like that... The "track" you show in the pic of the carrier detents appears to have sustained some damage at the bottom of the upper detent. Can you feel a burr or is is that just a "shiny" spot from contact?

That is a fine result CH. MOA accuracy from an open sighted 60 year old lever action is beyond the majority of men who’d consider themselves a good shot. When I went out to take the shots of the lites, my son told me that now the trailer has less draw on the electrical system than my p/u. Told me I need to upgrade the lights on the p/u, as they're still the factory incandescent lites. The flatbed farm trailer is next up for a light upgrade. Necessary...

It sorta depends on what your budget and future plans are.
