Pan lube them to fill out all the grooves in the bullet , then re=size back down to .460" or so and you should be good to go. The lube in the grooves will help somewhat prevent deformation to the bullet when you size down so far. You might have to deep seat the bullets if the nose is also oversize,...

Unless that particular bullet is lubed with a black powder appropriate lube, you're going to have some fouling issues. If it's lubed with a petroleum based lube, your fouling will be very hard and accuracy will suffer quickly. Yes, 2F will likely provide better accuracy with its slower push, 3F wil...

I've had .357 Blackhawks (3-screw) & still have Colt SAAs , Joe is right. But, I think the 44 NM Blackhawks had a slightly longer grip. It'd have to be a fabulous mule for me to trade.

If by "modern levers", you're referring to the 1892 Winchester or 1894 Marlin, I'd say yes, use your "Googlefu" to look up .44WCF HV (Hi-velocity) loads... I simply wouldn't in toggle link actions.
