Re: Loading .357 and .38 special for rifle

It's common knowledge in the COWBOY ACTION SHOOTING (CAS) community that all leverguns chambered in .357 mag may not cycle .38 Special cartridges very well. What kind of .38 Spec loads do you want? Light charge? Medium? Heavy? With lighter weight bullets? My wife shoots .38 Special thru a 1873 Ubert...

You're under the assumption that the courts have ANY validity......they don't!!

Law means nothing to the judges or to the lawyers........it's all a "show" so us peasants think that law means something..........yes, I'm a cynic.

Re: price

Price was about the same. I do like the 24" barrel of the limited but the look of the competition (case color). Was one better made? Monte I've had both........the .357 mag is more flexible.........the case hardening on the limited is prettier........the limited has the "factory action jo...

The front sight blades look low.......were they trimmed by the previous owner? (Which would make the pistol print high)

Some Cowboy shooters will do that to use light loads which print low anyway.

Try some factory loads.......then make a decision.

There's a small screw on the contact face of the barrel set...........is it protruding and preventing it from closing on the receiver face?

There is also an adjustment lock on the same pice that allows the barrel to be snugged up......maybe the previous owner snugged it up too tight?
