Just got back from my winter range. I'm stoked. Got the old Argentine running like a champ. Got my trapper Marlin zeroed with the new Leupold 2x. Awesome shooting, Lenn. I can't do no better! Well heck no i didn`t make no list, ain`t having no list stuck to my new gun. :P
Set the elevation knob on the first line for 100 and one click down for 50 works good, i won`t be shootin no squirrels with a 308 anyway i use a 45-70 for them bigger bullet less chance of missing. :lol:

Thanks gents, it turned out ok sure mild to shoot.
I plan on shooting it more today at 100 yards and get the sights set right, warm up here going to be in the high 30`s today and 40 tomorrow.

My eye sight is the problem, i can see the front sight pretty clear the first clip as seen on the top target then the front sight becomes blury and it gets worse from there. No matter its all in fun anyway. Thanks Six and Jay i`m pretty pleased with the rifle, next is one of those M14 or A1`s in 308...

Thanks bud, the new wood doesn`t have the fit of the old ones but what does now days.
Should be able to shoot it later today, snowing right now but supposed to clear off later and be 35 degrees.

My fix for the end play on the forearm, put a o-ring on the back end, takes the end play out but doesn`t make it to tight either. :)

I opted for Linseed oil put a coat on and brought the grain out nice will put a few coats on.

The stove is forced air but they burn a lot of wood if its cold. This stove has two 10 inch pipes from the house, it takes air from the house and circulates it through the stove (jacketed) and blows it back in the house. Don`t know what most that reply is about but yep had to work the action by hand but can put a full clip in the gun so works pretty good. :)

Thanks Jay, i put that second dot half in the blue and from 50 yards i could only see half of it which made a slim target too stupid to turn the target over seeing it was shootin right. :roll: :lol:
Those shells would be neat in a single shot rifle.

Ok fellars, Six that was great real accurate 8) The first round went way low so had to raise the sight a few clicks, shot at the center dot first clip shooting right a little but don`t think it does with hard ball so i`ll leave it. Fingers were getting cold on the second clip so not as good of group...
