I think that you should buy all three and then we can take them to the range and give them a work out. After wich you can give me the two that you don't like.
I'd go with the 76 if were me.

Re: NEXT PURCHACE, WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
If you already have two '73's I don't know why you're concerned about the price of shooting. You've got a chunk of change in the guns, the ammo would seem inconsequential.
I'd go for the '76 as I like big bores too (as Blaine stated).

I'd get the '73
IMO, the '76 is ugly and the Lightning reminds me of a toy rifle I had as a kid that shot little yellow rubber sphere's.

'76. You already want it the most, I think.

The '76 ... because you know you really want to lug that mammoth around. Think about how impressive it will look when all of the common folk are shooting '73s.

I like the "all three" choice as well, but if it had to be one, I'd go with the 1876 as well!

Re: NEXT PURCHACE, WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
I have a Uberti-made Taylor's 1876 in .45-60. I have a Uberti-made Cimarron 1873 Deluxe in 32WCF. And I have a USFA Lightning in .45 Colt.
The Lightning is a gorgeous octagon barreled rifle with outstanding fit and finish, but it has proven to be difficult to load and very finicky. Rounds must be pushed downward as well as inward to load the magazine. I need to use a push stick to get the job done. If even the slightest rearward pressure is held on the forearm it will fail to fire. On the plus side it shoots VERY accurately. It is fun to shoot, but save the Lightning for your last purchase.
My Cimarron Deluxe 32WCF (.32-20) is easily one of my favorite rifles, as I am quite partial to the octagon barrel and the checkered pistol grip stock. A bit of an action job made it a fine silhouette rifle. I can't say a bad thing about it! But since you already own examples of the 1873, the same rifle in a different caliber would not be much of an experience for you.
You need to experience the 1876! Get a Uberti-made .45-60, give it a good action job to eliminate the factory heavy trigger pull, and commence to having some real fun! Black powder loads are a real hoot!

If it's only to be one of them, it must be the 76!

Another vote for the '76, I personally can't like a pistol grip on a 73/76 frame.

Edited to correct model number.

Re: NEXT PURCHACE, WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
I didn't know they made the '86 in 32-40. I've seen some crazy good looking '94s in 32-40 though. Duff L Bagg scored a great Marlin in 32-40 recently as well.Griff wrote:After shootin' Lil' Doc's '76 in .45-60... it'll be the SECOND on my list, as an Winchester 1886 in .32-40 is FIRST!

Re: NEXT PURCHACE, WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
Well if it were me I'd get and old Marlin !
But since that wasn't one of the options I'd go with the 1876
But not in 45-60 I'd go full blown and get a 50-95 . After all nothing says Winchester 1876 "quite like" a 50-95
As far the Winchester 1886 , they didn't chamber it for 32-40 or 32-20
