When it rains it pours !

Post by 6pt-sika »

I’d made it about 18 months without buying a keeper gun and had actually liquidated a good many . But about two weeks ago I bought the Parker NH 10 gauge 34” . Well today I was offered a Parker EH 10 gauge 28” factory original gun of which I already have one . As I talked to the guy selling it we found my gun and this gun he offered me were consecutive serial number both made in 1891 to the same dealer . So I know have the pair .

The chances of getting a pair back together are mighty slim and for them to be in similar condition even slimmer Congratulations :D

Are they a true pair, matching dimensions?
Still to find consecutive numbers after 130 odd years is amazing.

I wouldn’t call them a matched pair in the British meaning of matched pair . But dimensions choke boring are the same . I think the letter says they were both sold to a hardware store or something like that. Got one from Connecticut and the latest from Pennsylvania .

Gotcha. Not a true pair, just consecutive numbered. Still amazing they have survived in as good shape as they are.

I’ll pick this gun up at Hausemann’s Northeastern SxS event June 6-8 . I’m taking the one I already have so both will be displayed on the Parker table .
