And since I'm in a UK frame of mind... a joke

Post by Old Ironsights »

Ya know the difference between The Stones and the Scots ?

The Stones say "hey, you, get off of my cloud"

The Scots says "hey, McCloud, get off of my ewe!"

Just been reading The Steel Bonnets, to find out about some of my ancestors...

Didn't say much about sheep, other than stealing them (....but then it didn't say WHY they stole them... :? ).

Pretty rowdy bunch of dudes though..... Doubt I can ever live up to their reputation in these times.

I suppose because I used to live near the Welsh border all our sheep jokes were aimed at lonely Welsh shepherds.
The Scots were too ornery to make fun of  unlike the Irish who have a great sense of humor and laugh at them selves as much as they do at everyone else..….. :D

GK, the best Irish jokes I've heard have been from Irishmen, or descendants like myself! We do love a good joke!

Why do the horses from New Zealand run so fast, they have seen what happens to the sheep, us Aussies just love our N Z brothers and sisters.

AJ, my Rutledge ancestors were from "The Debatable Lands." I need to get a copy of that book.
