No one has commented on the rampage of two anti-government lunatics in Las Vegas?

I think they did, in the 'Politics' section, last week....

Last week? Occurred this past Sunday. Do not see anything in the Politics forum (which I checked prior to asking, How come?)

A couple of amped up meth freaks......It was discussed within another thread, but why don't you open it up with a thread of it's own. You might be surprised at who here thinks meth should be perfectly legal

How two such mentally ill losers found each other and conspired to commit this tragedy is a mystery I doubt we'll ever solve. Backhoe, quick lime, move on ...

"A couple of amped-up meth freaks..."

Like Bill in Oregon said, "...move on."

Nothing to see here.

Actually, the dems are ecstatic over this one.

*Finally*, we had some shooters that are right-wing anti-gov't nutjobs.

So far this is one of the few deviations from the shooters being left-wing, mentally disturbed, liberal nutjobs.

"They" are trying to paint it that way, but from what I see there is nothing conservative about them.

I'm willing to be corrected, though....

I wouldn't be surprised if most of these are events that are 'triggered' (no pun intended), or even orchestrated, by individuals who feel they will manipulate public opinion. History seems to show it isn't unusual for bad things to 'happen' in order to further some agenda, every place from the kindergarten class to the Pentagon.
(from another thread) There are simply a whole bunch of people - 300 MILLION of them - so there are bound to be a few bad apples no matter what anyone does.
Very true, so there is always plenty of 'raw material' for those who want to manipulate public opinion.

There used to be a fine tradition of political spoil-sports and social losers striking out against royal muckety-mucks and a-holes in high political office. They gave it a high-fallutin' name. Assassination.

Now the same dirt -bags just pick a defenseless or unsuspecting fellow peasant, or group thereof, and murder them in some gruesome or spectacular manner to get their name in the news and their gripe into the open.

I'm all for going back to the old ways.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.
