a little 22 aint strong enough to kill a fox over here :roll: I say put int' right place and it'll do just dandy :D

Above is me praising my little dog for making a difficult retrieve by dragging this cub vixen out of a steep sided hole. I directed her where I wanted her to look and on the third try she found it. Nearly dark too!

I waited sitting down by an oak watching the sun set and rabbits, horses and a pheasant, a few days before tonight I had witnessed a vixen carrying a chicken from a nearby egg production unit so tonight I chose to sit it out. The fist cub I missed :x The 9422 is set for subs and I had the last of some CCI Mini Mags of which they shoot high some, it must of just snookgone over it's back!
Soon after another showed but this time I held a little lower, the shot entered the shoulder and leaving just perfect the other side, we could hear a little crashing about so I relaxed and waited. The shot was around 90 paces.

Again the little 9422 trapper impresses me, not shot it for months!

Thanks I needed that. After a 12 1/2 hour day seeing Tia in action makes everything seem OK.

Albeit not a very fair team, why is it always Tia that has to get the stinkin' critter between her teeth :lol:

I could never understand people who say a .22 is under powered for foxes, I took quite a few with a 9422 years ago. A Powerpoint bullet under the ear stops them in their tracks every time.

Some say,,,,,,, that I should of done it for a living but I never did. I just like being next to trees, they don't talk bull back to me! My retreat, closer to God in the woods :wink:

Tia is a springerxcocker spaniel (sprocker), just come in season! She is the best dog I have ever owned, she will retrieive small deer too, well try to drag them a bit. Geese, ducks, weasels and squirrels, woodcock, pheasants and rabbit, if I let her she will try to catch a rabbit just for fun, has sometimes and the smug look on her face is a picture :D
