I have two full boxes of Winchester 38 Short Rimfire. I'd like to know date of manufacture. Box number one is on top, it has green paper top and red on the side. The second one also has green on the top but has an orange side label. Note the patent date of Stetsons patent. On the one box it is October 24, 1871, on the other it is October 31, 1871! Can anyone tell me when these were made? Also, is there ANY book out there detailing Winchester collectable ammunition?
