New purchase, Win 9422 Legacy

Post by kimwcook »

I just picked up a Win 9422 Legacy and I'm impressed so far. It's balance is nice and it goes to the shoulder quick. I'll hopefully get a range report put up soon. These things are getting spendy.

Sorry about the crappy picture.

KW,

Great purchase! I assume this one is in .22LR unless I missed something. Thats perfect for coming up here and shooting silouette with us this summer, and then you can get the big brother of this one, the one in .22 Mag and that is just about perfect for the little bit heavier rams we use for pistol cartridge matches. You will have 2 guns that feel pretty much the same!

Let us know how she shoots! Gradually getting to be spring down there?

Yeah, springs around the corner. It's going through break up right now. It's actually been raining since mid morning. I'd like to get a 9422M. I haven't seen where they made the Legacy in 22 WMR. Maybe some time I'll have to get a hold of you for a weekend shoot up there. Maybe you could PM me with contact information, range dates and I'll see what I can do. Plan on building a shop and doing some major improvements to the place this year so free weekends are going to be few and far between.

kimwcook, I have a 9422 mag and it is the handiest rifle I own for around the ranch. They are very accurate and easy to use. Try to get you a matching magnum.

Hi Kim,

Congratulations...beautiful 9422 Legacy! Keep looking for the .22 mag. They're out there. I have both the 9422 and 9422M Legacy and they are a perfect pair together. Good luck! Victor

Ya know in all my looking over the internet gun sale sites I hadn't seen a single Legacy in 22 WMR. Now that Geoff said I needed a 22 WMR, I've seen a couple of them. Again, they're proud of them suckers. I like seeing the gun industry busy, but it makes it hard on those trying to obtain firearms and firearm related items for the non-availability and prices.

Congrats. I have one the same as yours. Great little shooters!!! I traded a Browning 12 ga BPS for mine. He was happy and I was happier.
