I know what you mean, It was 48° here last night. I had to cover the tomatoes so I didn't loose the blossoms.

I would trade a fair number of my shootin' irons for the ability to "thumb pick" a banjo or a guitar as well as either of those 2 old boys, what a sweet talent to possess. Yeah, I'd say those guys have learned how to have a ton of fun on a little expense. Lucky folks.

That is GREAT!

A couple of months ago, I went back to eastern Kentucky to purchase a new truck and within 20 miles of the town where I got it Tom T Hall, Billy Ray Cyrus, Patty Loveless, the Judds, Keith Whitly, and Ricky Skaggs grew up!!!!! Unbelievable music talent from Kentucky. They talk so COOL back there. Got some great laughs out of that video. They sure seem to get the best out of life with that slower pace.

Thanks!

That's the life! I think my shackboat would have to have a lot more draft to it. Water mocassins would make me ruin a good pair of drawers!

Reminds me of a houseboat my Dad's uncle had on the Chowan River in Eastern North Carolina just outside of Harrellsville back in the 1950s. It (the houseboat) was store bought but much like the one in the video.

That kinda situation makes me think of the song " a country boy will survive ".

I love that kinda stuff - ideally, have some property on a river and have one of those to run up and down it on - especially if the river goes through a big national forest. Yeah.

In Louisiana, there are many of these type in the swamps.

It would be a lot of fun to try it out. I don't believe it would be too practical here in New England. This time of year many bodies of water are frozen over.
