Is the little a Speed Six, or Police Service Six? The rubber grip makes it tough for me to tell if it is a round butt or not.

Close, but I really like my 66-1.

Just got the Redhawk. Changed out the factory grips, the Pachmyars fit my hand better. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but love the way it feels.

A Redhawk, Speed Six, and SP-101 make a good trio.

One of my friends has all three of those models in 357 Magnum, and another has the 44 Magnum Redhawk, 357 Magnum Speed Six, and 327 Magnum, SP-101, respectively.

Mine trio are 44 Mag, 357 Mag, and 38 Special, but I’ve mused about getting a SP-101 redone in 32-20, “just because”…. 327 too noisy and if I want more power I’ll just use the bigger gun.

Never had a GP-101 but they seem similar to the Speed Six just different grips it seems like.

i have a smith 2" 38, 4" 357, and a 5-1/2" redhawk 44 with pachmyars. what a coincidence. :)

Big is my 454 Ruger Alaskan & little is the Ruger SP 101, 642 is smaller but not in the same class as the 2 Ruger guns

Good old Speed Six.

I do have a Speed Six, but it's not stainless and it's also kind of a rare dog. It's part of a contract over run in near new condition. I've researched it a few times, but still haven't come up with what org. or country they were made for.

I really like the lanyard loop.

I’d like to find a set of original wood grip panels for the Speed Six.

The Pachmars are comfortable but too large for a revolver of this size.

I also intend to go back to wood factory grip panels on the Redhawk.

Excellent, adventures are required. I also keep a few Big Boys and little brothers. I have the Berrettas in 9mm, .380, and .32 with a suppressor on the 9 and .380. The S&Ws .44s in 6 inch, 5.5 in, 4 in, 3 in, .357s in 4 in, 3in, 2 1/2 inch and J-Frame .357 and .22 Mag. Sometimes small is all you need.

Ok, now I'll get a little more serious and post my favorite usable big and little duo, here's my Colt/Nighthawk 1911 along side my Browning 1911-380. I actually love shooting them both!

You would be surprised at how many people have never seen a saddle ring used as designed.

These are a couple of my favorite revolvers. Both former Government issued a 4-inch S&W 686 round but from (I was told IRS) and a 3-inch Ruger Speed Six that was a Postatal IG issue given to me by a friend. I first saw the 686 in the 80s and in the 90s talked my buddy out of it (I was issued a model 19 then and had to carry it). Both shoot better than I do with the 686 killing a few deer and one Eastern turkey. The Ruger I got after I retired from the State Police and qualified to carry it in AZ with another agency.
