There is a good article in the April 2009 American Rifleman magazine about those rifles. It appears that very few Keenes were ever made, with 250 rifles going to the Navy and 600 carbines going to the Indian Police via the government in the 1880's. The article notes some civilian models were made.

i have a friend who has a remington keen. inherited from his fatherinlaw. 85% finish and a pristeen bore. i have had the privlage to handle it several times and have shot it many times. i have only seen three of these and the other two were junk. a very interesting piece.
