Paule Harvey- RIP

Post by Rusty »

Just heard on the idiot box while the wife was watching Paul passed away today at age 90. Now reunited with his beloved wife. He'll be missed.

DANG!

I can't remember NOT listening to him at least once a week. They even played him on AFRTS.

Man, There goes an icon. I remember my mom listening to him on the kitchen radio in the '60's and I've always enjoyed his program too.

A sad day. Eon's ago while banged up I had to work the alarm center. Because of the way my voice sounded on the radio, the guys nicknamed me Paul Harvey. At the time I didn't know who he was. When I did find out, I listened to my voice on tape, as sure enough there was a similarity. He will be missed.

Old Paul seemed like a pretty good guy, his style and personality made him a fortune too. Several years ago his salary was about 10 million a year. Nice to live in a country where that sort of thing is possible.

That's too bad. Seems like ol' Paul had a pretty good life though. I'll be very thankful if I make it to 90.

I used to listen to him while growing up every morning in the barn while milking cows. He can't be replaced.

That's too bad. He was a positive force in times of turmoil. He was an outstanding beacon of light and honesty.

Sadly, while he used to be a Conservative in the past, the Lefties got to his brain within the last couple of years and he has gone tears against guns and such just like every other MSM commentator.

IMO he sould have retired 10 years ago.

He is now cradled in the loving arms of The Lord. I very much enjoyed listening to his broadcasts. We all have suffered a great loss. jd45

It is sad. As the icons of my youth die, I feel the world is diminished.

Paul's son had been doing a portion of his shows. I expect that he will continue on in place of his dad. If you've ever heard the two, sonny sounds quite a bit like Paul Sr.

I used to record his feed for broadcast. Next week, when I listen to Wolfman Jack - syndicated around the continent and another who left us too soon - I will think of Paul Harvey again.

The broadcast booth in heaven is full of A listers.
Safe Shooting! :)

He was in radio as a broadcaster for
75 yrs i heard. Yes he lived in a country where he could live the
American dream. Now the "Messiah"
is trying to change that.
RIP Mr Harvey, You were a Great
American in my opinion!
