PAY IT FORWARD
Re: PAY IT FORWARD
Posting an unknown box of vintage berdan primed ammo.
Cardboard box with cloth strap on flap, torn off tab, old tape damaged, handwritten 6.5 on tape.
Box has what i think is italian printing on it (below is my best guess on it):
PIROTECHNICO - BOLOGNA
N18
CARTUCCE A PALLOxxxxxxx
PER FUCILI E MOSCHETTI
Pxruta N. 167 - 2-1943
C(?)aricata con scienite
18 rounds in the box,
headstamp:
LBC
936

That looks like 6.5 Carcano ammunition. I happen to have a rifle that will shoot this, so I will take it if it is still available. I'll PM you the address, and will find something to share here after work today.
Thanks!

Re: PAY IT FORWARD
I need to take a picture of this after work, but I have a new, never-used jacket that I purchased for concealed carry. It is one of those sleeveless jobs, has pockets all over the front, and a large pocket in the back. Looks like a photographers' jacket. It is lined, and would be warm. It is a "large size".
I bought it mail-order, again, with the idea of using it for concealed carry when a full jacket would be too much. Also thought it would be handy to trapse around in the woods, or use when traveling by air (everything would be handy in the pockets). Problem is that I, er, need an extra-large. I am long-waisted, and difficult to fit to begin with, and over the last few years have been getting a little more "wide-waisted" to boot!
The jacket is tan, and still has the tag on it. I will post a picture this evening.

Re: PAY IT FORWARD
Well, as promised, here are the pic’s on the jacket.
Here is a close-up of the tag, though the flash washes out the color:
And here is the back:
As you can see, it is in perfect (never worn) condition, and the liner is nice and thick.
Oh, and as an added bonus – not to disappoint my foot-fans out there (you know who you are), I included the ever-present snapshots of my slippers!
Let me know who wants it!

Re: PAY IT FORWARD
Looks like I'll have to send Scott my slippers. Can't believe no one is interested in a brand new jacket. Either it is now hopelessly out of style (just like me), so I'm not the only one who's, er, grown in girth...
Re: PAY IT FORWARD
Oh, If I wasn't pushing the XL category myself I'd jump all over it. Heck I'm tempted to see if I could pull it off anyway. But will power still in place; I'm stepping back and waiting for a member who it may fit better to throw down.Ysabel Kid wrote:Looks like I'll have to send Scott my slippers. Re: PAY IT FORWARD
YK, I'd take it, but am also of the "XL" persuasion. A buddy of mine recently passed away and his wife gave me his fishing vest. It was a Large, and I couldn't even get it on. So, as much as I would like to take you up on this generous offer, I'll have to pass and let one of our smaller bretheren jump on it.

Re: PAY IT FORWARD
I hadn't thought of that, but it would make a darn good fishing vest as well.
Seems like a common issue here. Hmmm, I wonder if I could blame it on the forum! "Hun, no point in exercising, it's going to happen anyway..."
Actually, I do still exercise, and the vest does fit me, it just isn't long enough on me to conceal a handgun, which was it's intended purpose. I gotta believe we have a young fella here that could take advantage of it!

Re: PAY IT FORWARD
I've got 9 large rifle cal slip top plastic ammo boxes that are way too big for anything I shoot.
Even 45-70s flop around in there. They are right at 4" tall with the box closed. Gotta be for Nitro express type mega boomers, 45-120 etc.
If anyone can use these shoot me a PM.
That's a 45-70 for comparison!

You reckon that would work for 470 Nitro's? Looking at your picture, they just might. Is there a name or part number on them?

Thanks TXbirdman. I'll offer up a Benrus watch with carbon fiber face. This watch has never been worn (except to try on and size to my wrist), so the face and band is pristine. However, in trying to get the back off to put in a battery, the tool slipped and scratched the back plate. Obviously, it is nothing that can be seen when wearing the watch. Here's a picture of the face, so you can see its OK:
