Merry Christmas (Old Picture) Post yours

Post by salvo »

Merry Christmas to my friends at Leverguns.com.
Here is one I came across at my Mom and Dads, I was able to scan it.

Christmas day 1966. Give you one guess which one is me :)
Please post any Christmas pictures you might have.

Christmas 1960 at our house in Farmington, NM. I got lots of goodies that year. Me in pajamas, mom behind me. Check out the shadows from the windows on the wall. Notice the snow scenes. Mom had that same set of stencils forever. She kept them even after you couldn't find the spray snow any more. I think it annoyed her that they discontinued the stuff.
An erector set, a car and boat set. The boat was motorized and would really zing along in the bath tub. A big animal book, I still have that. The rifle I have in my hand is I believe the Matel Mares leg from Wanted Dead or Alive. It didn't last long.
But what I miss most was both mom and dad together. They divorced not long after this pic was taken.

I miss Christmas past.

I miss that tree too. We used it for it seems like for ever. What you can't see in the picture is the old bubble lights we had on it. Those I love. You can't find 'em any more and when you do they usually don't bubble.

The bubble lights became available again a few years back; they didn't have the colors available like the originals, though. They were kinda dull without the blue and green tubes...

I'd have to go to my mother's to find the old pictures.

Here's my family from two years ago;

Salvo, I hope your dad never once ever attempted to deny that he was Dad to all 3 of you boys. Too much likeness for him to get away with that. Great picture, looks like you had the right idea from the beginning :D :D

Salvo, I love seeing the youngest brother holding a pistol. The oldest is holding a Kodak instamatic that my sister and I each had 1 of.

Ya, the one with the pistol is me! it's a bb/pellet gun that looks like a Colt 45ACP. I still have it, it is pretty worm out and scuffed up though.

Salvo,

Great picture! Like the other guy said the camera is a Kodak and my older sister had one just like it. Thought she was a big shot!! Really a GREAT memory!!! Also my dad would comb my hair just like you guys with that little curl deal in the front! That was on a good day of course when we weren't late for school. I was born in 1963.

Got a picture of me, wasn't Christmas but it's me in a sleeping bag with a bunch of my toy trucks lined up and my trusty toy rifle alongside of me. Must've been 1967 or 68 or so. Hasn't changed much, still love my trucks and guns. Lot of us must've started early!!
