Oh Check that out.

A lot of Marines just say Semper when having a conversation kind of eliminitates excess speech with out grunting like a dope.

Usualy we just say Ur, YUT, or one of the other popular growling type noises. :D

Jeremy, you know what? My baby brother has been out of the Marines for 30+ years and he's still a Marine.

There were three boys in my family. I was an 2nd class petty officer Navy, younger brother is a Brigadier General Army, and baby brother was a Marine sergeant. Our sister did best--she was a school teacher for 30+ years. As I'm sure you know, a marine sergeant outranks a Brigadier General Army, but is way below a school teacher in authority.
