OT - I bought my first pistol

Post by jdad »

I'm a revolver guy, at heart. I've been handling every semi auto handgun made over the last year and finally found one that "fit" my hand and my needs. :) I've never spent so much time trying to buy a firearm. I added the Hogue slip-on grip.

Sig P228 "HiViz HiCap" variation. It came with two 13 round and two 15 round factory mags, plus a bunch of red and green sight inserts. I just bought it and won't have a chance to shoot it until this weekend.

I'd need mighty big pockets to fit this in. :D This is the same size as a P229.

Jdad,

Great choice, I don't think you will ever regret this one! I've got a Sig 226 in .357 Sig. NEVER HAS JAMMED, NEVER FAILED TO GO BANG!! Sigs are as good as you have heard. Still like my Kimber 1911 10mm best as far as ease of hitting something and the added punch without objectional recoil but function the edge goes to the Sig.

Glad you and mm93 had a great OAC show!
