Hello all, I have just received word that the 219 Zipper barrel for my switch barrel Marlin 336 is done and I will be picking it up on Monday, t(hough I am a little scared because when I asked what I owe him he said just bring a pocket full of money and I'll take out what I want)....
Ok, anyway I would like to have some properly head stamped brass for the 219 Zipper as I have quite a few guns in calibers based on the 30-30 case that are too similar in size, that I don't want to screw up and put the wrong rounds in this gun. Long winded but, if you have any 219 Zipper brass for sale, please let me know. Thanks. Tom

About 1970 I bought a Highwall in improved zipper in Colorado Springs. It came with dies and 2 boxes of Winchester 219 zipper brass. I don't believe I have seen a factory box of 219 zipper since. Any subsequent cartridges I've built since that initial acquisition have the 30/30 headstamp.

I absolutely understand earl however
In this particular gun it has barrels for .219 zipper, 7-30 waters, 30-30, and 38-55. When I have the ammo boxes all in the same case and if they were all head stamped 30-30, there is a chance of a catastrophic mistake that I am trying to avoid.

Oh I totally understand the desirability of having the correct headstamp. If no zipper brass turns up maybe you could use 25/35 brass for the conversion. That would at least get some differential. And Hornady made a run of 25/35 a while back and some of that may still be available...
