My new 444 Marlin, with pics

Post by Aussie Chris »

Well I picked up my new lever yesterday, a Marlin 444ss. My first Marlin which I will be using for sambar deer down medicine down here in Victoria. I normally use my tikka T3 30.06 but I feel more comfortable with lever-actions.

I got a great deal with Lee deluxe die set, 100 empty cases, 600 various bullets, new Warne mounts and my favourite Williams peep sight.

It has a few small dings which is better for me because I wont be afraid to take it out deer hunting, unlike my Winchesters.

I really like the fact that you can easily clean the bore from the breech end and the ease of field stripping it.

Can't wait to punish my shoulder with it!!

Just want to say thanks to Dawei for showing me the 444 forum too. :D

It sure is nice to get all that extra stuff with a gun. Ammo has gotten really high.

Looks like you picked up a nice set up. Very good looking wood on that 444! We'll be expecting a range report or hunting report next.
