I tape them, stand them on end and using a properly sized block to lay the saw on I use a fine jamb saw to make the cut. I cut from all sides and finish with the middle. This is the type of saw: https://a.co/d/3dlx2ZH

I had a local furniture shop chemically strip it in their chamber * for only $50 and it came out great.. looks like a great run. my garmin will post up a notification that's more distracting than useful. I’ve got Miroku made 1886 EL 45-70, Browning 53 32-20, and BLR Takedown 358 Win. All are good machines with nice fit and finish. Did Steve’s Gunz details on the 86 and 53 and had the trigger worked on the BLR. Would prefer oil finish but the gloss is super durable.
