Not sure but with the bullet plugging the bore, could the escaping gas blow the wood

Very nice job Jim!! I have that mold but in the Ruger Vaquero they hit the target side ways
other guns it works just fine,also use the old Lee dippers & use a old of hand tool & the 115 gr bullet mold that came with a old 1873 Win. some times it just fun to use the old stuff

Have you had the stock off? thats where i would start, spray the heck out of it with

Have 3 Vaguero, 45 Colt 44-40 & 32 H&R, Blackhawk is 357, at the ripe old age of 70 it depends on what day it is as to what one shoots the best :(

25-20 - 32-20 -- 25-35 -- 30-30 -- 38-55 -- 45-70 -- 38-40 -- 44-40 --


i have used all of these for pleasure or hunting, they flat out work!

I ve had 3 99s & one 88 in 308, now have a model 70 in the newer feather weight, it is a real gem

was out shooting prairie dogs the other day with it, out to 300 yards it does good, after that
its operator error :roll: dont worry i still have lever guns from 22 mag to 45-70

Loaded up 94 cases with 7 gr. of TiteGroup with the same Lee 429 200 gr. bullet my 44-40 in the Ruger has to have them sized at 427, 429 & they wont fit the cylinder yep its way out of wack, bore is tite at 417 dia. on the lands :shock: odd thing is it shoots bout like any hand gun i shoot, yes ...

My 375 win. is a 99 Savage, only shot an Antelope with it, it did the job just fine. i take it out & ring
steel with it, does a fine job doing that also, like the ranch dog 235 gr. bullet & have a old Lyman mold that cast
a 280 gr. bullet that works real well

marlin man no i was shooting into a big block of wood, put up a big target & had no
extra holes in it, 18 rounds were with in 6 yards, so im sure they stayed on that far
around here my gravel & saw dust piles are full of lead, be hard to sniff them out

Yes i think the new one will cure your problem, had to replace one a few years ago worked like a clock then, i like the mini way better than the AR, just couldnt warm up to them mine works real well on prairie dogs out to 300 yds as well as coyotes, i quit worrying about finding all my brass ollogger

may be punch the primer out if it drags on the primer while locking the gun up, did you measure the case for
