That looks like a good rear sight. A spring loaded detent ball would be nice too, so you could count the clicks..
I never seen the Rossi's '92 with the safety so I don't know how it attaches.

I have been using Jet A, it's a lot less expensive then store bought kerosene and not as smelly. Most small airports will sell it you by the gallon, just bring a proper fuel can.

I'd be looking at the Uberti Winchester '73 in 44 magnum. Probably 2nd in popularity to the 357 magnum, but the most versatile with lots of component availability. Heavy straight walled case, Carbide Dies, molds, bullets everywhere, takes all kinds of powders.

I would do a chamber cast. I keep a chunk of Cerrosafe for just such things. Everyone needs to measure something once in awhile. It melts quickly at about 160 F. I do it when my wife is not around on the Kitchen stove. I've done it when she is around but it's not as easy.
