Re: A most unusual 1873 Winchester

That is a Model 1903 22 Automatic Rifle. It shoots only 22 Automatic ammunition and the rifle has a cresent butt plate. The Model 63 replaced it about 1936 The 63 shoots 22 Long Rifle ammunition and has more of a shotgun style butt plate.

Re: My Dad passed away this morn.

Pitchy,

Sorry for your loss. You have had nothing but grief in your life here lately. Talk to God and I know you and him will figure it out. God will direct you. Then there will be peace within yourself. Do what you feel you need to do. May your year ahead get better.

Remington 1100 I had two of them since 1974. I replaced a broken firing pin for 6.00 and never had any other issues. They still work perfectly and by the way, I bought them both used. :D

It's a 1946. How many screw holes are in the lower tang? If there are four holes, it's a 62. The barrel may just be stamped 62.

Win. 55

That would have been a good buy. A front half for a Model 55 went for more than that on Gun Broker within the last couple of months. Don't worry, I kick myself all the time, on the deals I've pasted up.
