Re: OT: Cats in house

3leggedturtle, cats are great to have around - once you get to know them and can read them you'll like them a lot. Just don't let 'em know what your username is here.

Re: Which lever has the best feeling action?

Without a doubt, Bullard large frame lever guns. 'Not may of them out there, they were only made for about 8 years in the 1880's. Spectacular guns, smooth as silk, but they were expensive to manufacture and thus ultimately lost out to Winchester. IMHO Bullards were the best lever guns ever made.

Re: New model 1895sbl from Marlin

Good lord, that's got to be the ugliest gun I've seen. Marlin must have stolen the designer of the Pontiac Aztec away from GM.

Re: National Do Not Call List

The car warranty calls are definately scams. I get a couple of them a month. They refuse to give you a number to call them back, they don't know what telephone number they called to get you, and like someone else said, they don't even know what kind of car you own. Now I toy with them - when they ca...

Re: National Do Not Call List

Snopes is right. Per the government, "If you’ve received an e-mail telling you that your cell phone is about to be assaulted by telemarketing calls as a result of a new cell phone number database, rest assured that this is not the case. Telemarketing to cell phone numbers has always been illega...

Re: When you were a kid..........

I see a few familiar guns listed from days past! I started with a Daisy 1894 bb gun when I was about 9, upgraded to Crosman M1 bb gun at age 11, then a Crosman 180 CO2 .22 pellet gun at age 11, then a Sheridan .20 pneumatic pellet at age 12, then at age 16 I worked at a McDonalds for 5 months to sav...

Re: Fancy Wood on a Winchester Lever Gun...

My older brother worked at Winchester in the early seventies as an assembler. He told me once that whenever he got a really nice piece of wood, say a nice stock, he’d hide it at his work station. When a matching forearm came through, maybe days or weeks later, he’d use the two and put a nice looking...
